Maybe I don’t have it as bad as I thought!- UPDATED
Apr 15th, 2008 by Mark Spahr
I’m at the MLTI Spring Regional Leadership Meeting today in Guilford. We currently are in the “Coffee and Connectivity” portion of the agenda. I had no problems connecting to the network here, but it seems they have several of the sites that I am used to using throughout my day blocked. I started with Twitter. Blocked. Reason: Online Community. Gmail? Blocked. Yahoo Mail? Check. Picasa Web Albums? Blocked. Flickr? Not a chance. You Tube? Don’t even think about it. I was able to get into my Google reader, which I use a lot, and Google Documents and Calendar. My blog? I can get there as of this writing. I really shouldn’t complain. I guess more than anything I should be thankful that I am able to access these sites at my school (for now). It looks like I will be spending a “quiet” online day.
UPDATE: Now, magically, I am able to get to everything! I don’t know for sure, but I think I have Crystal Priest, the Tech Coordinator here at Guilford to thank. Thanks Crystal!
Enjoy your day Mark! Demonstrate leadership and show them the power of your PLN.
