Mark, thanks for Live Blogging this and for your participation in the workshop. I think we all benefited from your comments and the experience you have with comics and graphic novels.
I just want to set the record straight on one thing. The difficulty some teachers had with opening the notebook had nothing to do with the new image (just a coincidence). When I had time to investigate it later I found that one of the flash drives we were using had a corrupted notebook file. (Someone probably pulled it out in mid-file transfer.) I tracked down one of the teachers who couldn’t open it, we tried again with another flash drive, and she had no problem opening up the notebook.
Thanks again for Live Blogging and for that great Comic Life example.
Thanks again for a great workshop. As I said in my Reflections on the MLTI Summer Institute post, one of the real strong parts of your workshop was the emphasis on actual ways to use the resources you presented in the classroom. This is not always the case in workshops. I am glad to hear that there are not compatibility issues with the new image and Noteshare. It is a valuable tool that I use in my classroom frequently. Thanks again!

The participants were a very diverse group of teachers but I think everyone left with some ideas for introducing comics and graphic novels into their curricula. Mark, one of the participants, live blogged the session using Cover It Live and you can see the results on his Cooked on Education blog. [...]
